Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 REview 2021

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is finally here. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is finally here.

Along with the Z Fold 3, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 was also launched. The Z Flip 3 was launched alongside the Z Fold 3. There are some nice improvements. The Z Flip 3 is cheaper than the original Flip, but it’s still more appealing.

This is the current best clamshell folding smartphone. This is not surprising, considering the Motorola Razr 2020 or the original Z Flip. Despite the price drop, the Z Flip 3 is still not very affordable.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 doesn’t justify the price. This is not a novelty phone. The design has some issues, including the gap between the phone’s case and the phone when it’s closed, stiffness of closing mechanism, and high fingerprint scanner. These issues would be a problem for any smartphone user, along with a small battery and poor camera.

Design and display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 doesn’t look much different from its predecessor. But, appearances can be deceiving. You will see some improvements once you have the phone in your hand.

The back of this phone is made from “Glasstic” plastic with glass around its camera module. It is lighter than the all-glass original. Because plastic is stronger than glass, the Flip is less likely that it will slip from wet hands.

It is the hinge mechanism that gives the phone its firmness and stability. It is more solid than the original Flip’s hinge mechanism.

The Z Flip 3 also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, similar to the original Galaxy Z Flip. The scanner is not easy to reach when the phone is unfolded, much like the original Galaxy Z Flip. Because the phone is folded in half, there is a small gap between the two sides making it less durable.

Original Z Flip’s most bizarre design choice is back. The Z Flip 3 folds nearly in a square shape, and is as wide as any smartphone. Even though the phone isn’t as long as other smartphones, it can be difficult to store in small pockets.

You can choose from a variety of colors, including black, beige and green. Some colors are not available on Samsung’s website depending on where you live.

The main display is the same FHD+ panel with a 6.7 inch resolution as the 2020 model, but the refresh rate has been increased from 120Hz to 120Hz. The display’s folding mechanism isn’t as apparent as it was on the Flip or all Fold models.

The outer display has undergone a significant upgrade. It used to measure 1.1 inches. Now it measures 1.9 inches. This display’s new layout is easier to understand.

Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3 Batteries and Camera

This section will be brief as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3’s battery and the headline camera specs, as well as its predecessors, are identical.

The back features ultra-wide and 12MP wide snappers. The sensors are larger than those of the original Flip, but the images are brighter. Although we don’t know how big the sensor is on the front 10MP snapper it appears to be essentially the same.

The entire range of camera modes seems identical. Flex Mode allows you fold your phone at an angle to use one side as a stand. These modes are in addition to those available on the Galaxy S21. Zooming can also be done digitally, up to 10x.

The camera setup on this phone isn’t as great as the S21’s so don’t expect amazing photos.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3’s 3,300mAh battery is identical to the original. It is quite small for a phone that has a display of 6.7 inches. However, it appears that the size of the battery may limit how large the power pack can be. As this is a hands on evaluation, we have not had the opportunity to test the battery’s durability. We did notice that the original Flip didn’t always last a full day.

We don’t think the 15W charging rate is too slow, but it would be if there was a small battery. Wireless charging is also possible. Wireless charging works best when the cover of the phone is closed to allow the charging coil to be placed in the phone.

Performance and specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has some performance improvements over its predecessor. The Snapdragon888 chipset is the most powerful Android processor. The Plus version has the 888 chip, which is rare on smartphones.

The phone felt very fast when scrolling through menus or apps thanks to the 8GB RAM and processor. The phone was too heavy to play games on, so we didn’t have time to fold it and unfold it. We have used other Snapdragon 888 phones, so we know it will be powerful.

This software is Samsung’s OneUI. It’s a fork Android that includes some company apps. It is up to you to decide what you think about it and any associated bloatware.

Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3 price in India and release date

There are two storage options available for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3: 128GB, which costs $999 / PS949 / AU$1,499) and 256GB, which will cost $1049 / AU$1,800.

Original Galaxy Flip cost $1,380 / PlayStation1,300 / AU$1,800 The 5G model cost $1,449 / PS1,399 / AU$2,599. Although the Flip 3 is more affordable than other high-spec non folding devices of comparable quality, it’s still very expensive.

It is worth noting that the original Flip lost its value quickly and is being sold at a fraction the launch price. If you buy a Z Flip 3 phone, you can save approximately $1,000 / PS1,000 / AU$2,000.

Early verdict

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 does not look any different from the original Z Flip. It is identical in dimensions, size, battery, software, and camera. We aren’t sure that we would spend a lot to buy it after thoroughly testing it. The Z Flip 3’s form factor is a problem that hovers around like a cloud.

There are improvements that might appeal to those who haven’t bought the original Flip but still desire it. The chipset is better, the outer screen has a larger resolution, and the inner screen refreshes faster.

It could be the price that wins your heart. Although the phone is still quite expensive, it’s not as expensive as its predecessor. We believe this price drop will signal that foldable phones are on the horizon.
